Four homes, named for the birds around them
Aluru, Akuru, Awendo and Osogo are the Dholuo names for the quail, the dove, the guinea fowl and the weaver bird, all of which live around the compound. Wake early enough and you may hear them getting started before the day does.
Each is a spacious, self-contained two-bedroom bungalow. All four sit on one gated compound on the Siaya-Yimbo Road, about eight minutes' drive from Siaya town.
Two ways to stay
Take both bedrooms, or just one
Every home has two bedrooms. If you only need one we simply lock the other, and you still have the rest of the house to yourself. Nobody else is ever booked into the other room.

Both bedrooms open. The one to take for a family, or two couples travelling together.

One bedroom
KSh 2,500 per night
We lock the second bedroom, and the rest of the house is still entirely yours: sitting room, kitchen and bathroom.

These are our direct booking rates. Direct booking means booking with us directly, on WhatsApp or by phone. Rates on other booking platforms may be slightly higher, because those platforms add their own service fees.

Laid out and furnished alike
Whichever one you stay in, it is furnished and equipped to the same standard and cleaned to the same checklist. Beyond the name on the door, there is little to choose between them.
